Church History

The late Rev. John W. Salley was the pastor of Treadwell Street Church of God. Pastor Youmans began preaching once a month in 2002, later twice a month, then eventually full-time as the late Rev. Salley's health weakened. On January 15, 2005, Pastor Youmans was officially installed as the pastor of Treadwell STreet Church of God. His installation created an atmosphere of newness. A year later, Treadwell Street Church of God was changed to New Beginnings Church of God and Pastor Ron O. Youmans began to guide us with a new mission. Our mission is to bring people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ isour only theme and the Word of God is our only weapon.

With Pastor Youmans as our Shepherd, membership has increased, the church received a face-lift, acquired adjacent property, commissioned two Ministers of Music, established ministries for the women, men and youth, and organized a non-traditional praise team.
